How to create a "NON-SPARSE" disk image for VMWARE

Post by Wierd »

Over a year ago, when ROS was still being demo'd out with BOCHS, I made this little tutorial for a way to make a single image file, that could be fed into both programs.

It seems QEMU also can use "non-sparse", raw image files.

I give this tutorial, so that you can make VMware use non-sparse images, that can be manipulated with more mainstream tools, such as WinImage, and a whole host of linux tools, including the loopback device.

Without further Adieu--
